Littlehampton are leaders of Division Two, ahead of St James' and Steyning.

All three clubs have won two of their three games.

None of the remaining seven teams have man-aged to provide a win between them so far.

The top of the table clash at the Sportsfield saw Littlehampton beat Steying by 84 runs.

They made 247-7 declared, of which Vijay Gapor hit 98 and Darren Mathura 68.

Gary Hunt made 50 and Andy Ridley 34 as the visitors tumbled to 163 all out.

Chris Hanks finished with 6-37 and Paul Wells 3-25.

St James' raced to a ten-wicket win at home to newcomers Roffey after the visitors had reached 197-8 declared from 54 overs.

Richard Nevins made 99 not out before the enforced declaration.

Mark Johnson took his total of wickets so far to 14 in three games with figures of 4-62.

Sam Chettlebrough, with 90 not out, and Russell Piper, who made an unbeaten 83, steered the side home home with some comfort at 200 for no wicket.

Cuckfield, like Roffey, newcomers to the league this season, are finding it tough to adapt but held on for a less than exciting draw at Bexhill.

The home side made 202-8, with David Munro making 56 and Martin Phillimore 44, and Tim Mole taking 3-45.

Skipper Jack Waghorn made 71 not out in a Cuckfield reply of 144-7, with Rajesh Patel taking 5-50.

Stirlands' failure to clinch victory in many games last year probably cost them promotion And this season has so far been little different.

This time, it was Preston Nomads who held out against them, but it was a tight finish.

Jamie Hall made 91 and Richard Thelwell 75 as Stirlands cruised to 241-4 declared.

Nomads then made 231-9 in reply.

Zimbabwe Academy player Patrick Garda made 51 and Simon May 61, while Peter Cross, for Stirlands, took 4-60.

The remaining game at Sidley also ended in stalemate.

Lewes Priory held on to deny the home club victory.

Sidley had Ian Crit-tenden (70 not out) and Intikab Alam (52 not out) to thank for their total of 218-7 declared.

Richard Eborn, with 71, led the way for Lewes, while Guy Montgomery took 3-33.

Time, however, ran out with the visitors a disapponting 164-7.
