Sussex businesses are invited to take part in a new internet trade arena.

The county is one of the first places in the UK to be linked to the forum, run by Mondus.

Chamber e-Trade is an online trading forum where any local business can sell or buy goods or services from any other local business.

It aims to help buyers get what they need for the best price, while boosting trade for suppliers.

Companies can find the products and services they need by browsing 73 categories. These range from couriers and print services to office equipment and training services.

Chamber e-Trade's bidding structure means buyers should get low-cost, high-quality services without the inconvenience of shopping around for suppliers.

Alan Brooks, director of marketing and public affairs for Sussex Enterprise, said:

"This will be a nationally available service through chambers across the country. We are one of the first regions to go live.

"It is open to all businesses in Sussex. We hope as many as possible will register in the early stages so our companies can get ahead of other potential suppliers on the site and find new business."
