MICKY Adams reckons his Albion side are getting a raw deal from Premiership officials.

Top flight referee Paul Durkin will be in charge when the Seagulls take on Barnet at Withdean on Sunday.

But Adams, whose men have come under the control of a series of big name officials recently, reckons experienced assistant referees should also be dispatched to third division matches.

The Seagulls have the second worst disciplinary record in division three matches this season, as well as having had two men sent off in cup ties.

But Adams insisted: "Part of the problem is that the linesmen are not giving enough support.

"We're having a lot of Premiership referees covering our games, and it doesn't take a genius to work out why.

"But the linesmen don't seem strong enough to handle the fact that they've got a Premiership referee in the middle.

"If they are going to send us Premiership referees down all the time, bring the linesmen with them.

"The co-operation between the three is not good at the minute."

Albion were so angry with decisons in last Saturday's defeat at Swansea that they sent assistant boss Alan Cork to confront referee Dermot Gallagher at half-time.

Although they had no arguments with Jamie Campbell's 25th minute sending-off for two bookable offences, they felt cautions for Warren Aspinall, Gary Crosby and Danny Cullip were harsh.

Adams insisted: "I don't think the referee took the conditions into account at all during the game

"Some of the bookings were ridiculous.

"Corky went in at half-time and spoke to the ref because, in our opinion, he was being swayed by the crowd.

"We asked him to referee the game as he should."

Campbell has been fined by the club and will be banned for the home match with Exeter on January 3.

Darren Freeman and Darren Carr are suspended for the Barnet clash but Kerry Mayo is training after his knee problem proved to be less serious than first thought.

Gary Hobson picked up a back injury in training on Monday but is expected to recover in time.

But Gary Hart is still laid low by a virus and Mark Walton, Scott Ramsay, Danny Davis, Ross Johnson, Danny Marney, Carr and Freeman are still only in light training.

The reserves match at Portsmouth in the Combination tonight has been postponed.
