A reward of £10,000 was offered today following the stabbing of a Hove store manager.

The 25-year-old victim is recovering in hospital after undergoing treatment for five puncture wounds to the stomach.

He was opening up his branch of Currys electrical shop, off Old Shoreham Road, yesterday morning when two raiders attacked him.

He was found lying on the floor in a pool of blood as staff arrived for work.

He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, where he underwent emergency treatment to his wounds.

Police said the injuries were not life-threatening.

The man's pregnant wife spent most of yesterday by his bedside.

The two robbers escaped with £2,000 from the shop safe and made off in a car along St Joseph's Close and

into Old Shoreham

Road.

The £10,000 reward from Currys is for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the offenders.

Police were searching for the weapon and asked for anyone finding a knife to come forward.
