Towers tighten grip at the top

London Towers strengthened their hold on the top spot by moving four points clear at the top of the BBL Championship Southern Conference at the weekend.

Towers ran out 93-78 winners at Brighton Bears to open up the advantage ahead of Milton Keynes Lions and London Leopards.

Towers also have games in hand on all of the other sides in the Conference, having won 12 and lost just one of their 13 games.

The Towers broke open the game in the second quarter with a 25-12 period giving them a 48-27 lead at the interval.

Thereafter they kept their hosts at arms length throughout to record a comfortable victory.

Towers guard Randy Duck was the games top scorer with 24 points while Kendrick Warren got 21 and Eric Burks 15.
