Accountant Mark Carr is hoping to cap off a successful Brighton Marathon run by coming up with a charity fundraiser with a difference.
The 49-year-old has persuaded some of his well-known clients to sign the hat he will be wearing on the day of the marathon and add a guess of how long they think it will take him to finish.
The one who gets the closest then chooses a charity and Mr Carr will sell the hat online and donate the proceeds to it.
Some of those signing up include actors Timothy Spall, Anna Popplewell and Gemma Arterton, quiz show champion and one of the Eggheads from the BBC show Kevin Ashman and former Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman.
Mr Carr, who is married to Deborah, 42, is asking the stars to guess a time of between four and five hours.
His company, Mark and Carr Ltd, specialises in the tax affairs of people in the entertainments industry.
Mr Carr can be contacted on 01273 778802 or mark@markcarr.co.uk.
