Survivors star Julie Graham was stalked by a sex pest on a late night train.

The Brighton-based actress was on her way home after a night out in London with friends.

Sex offender Frank Olalaye targeted her as she stood on the platform at East Croydon station on February 17.

He kept staring at her and followed her as she got onto a train to Three Bridges at 12.30am.

The 44-year-old actress realised something was wrong when Olalaye sat opposite, kept staring and tried to strike up a conversation with her.

Ms Graham, who plays Abby Grant in the BBC series Survivors, moved to another part of the carriage where three other passengers were sitting.

Olalaye ignored her pleas to leave her alone and sat in a nearby seat after she moved again.

She moved three carriages down the train after most of the passengers got off at Gatwick Airport.

Ms Graham tried to put Olalaye off by pretending to speak to someone on her mobile phone until it reached the end of the line at Three Bridges...

When she got off Olalaye began to walk towards her.

Ms Graham told police: "He was getting closer and I was starting to get worried.

"He got to within a couple of feet of me so I told him to back off.

"I went to speak to station staff and he walked off down the platform."

Station staff called the police who arrested Olalaye nearby a few minutes later.

Olalaye, 35, from Greenwich, London, is a sex offender who is banned from approaching lone women after two previous incidents.

In 2007 he grabbed a barmaid and sexually assaulted her in a pub.

He also watched a female neighbour through the window of her flat in another stalking incident.

As a result he was made the subject of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order in 2008.

Olalaye admitted breaching the order when he appeared at Brighton Crown Court yesterday. (fri) He was remanded in custody so that psychiatric reports can be obtained before he is sentenced on June 25.

Ms Graham, who lives in Brighton with her husband and two daughters, has also been the victim of another stalker.

In a completely separate case she was targeted by someone who posted obscene messages about her family on Twitter last year.

She said: "They did upset me. They were personal things and not anything to do with my acting.

"I read the most horrible, horrible things written about me on the internet.

"Some of them were downright nasty. They were hateful."

Ms Graham, who was born in Scotland, has appeared in a number of high-profile films and television shows.

She starred alongside Martin Clunes in William and Mary and as Megan Hartnoll in At Home with the Braithwaites.

Her film credits include Nuns on the Run, Preaching to the Perverted and Bedrooms and Hallways.
