A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after an A27 road accident.
The incident which invoved a Nissan Micra took place near Sainsbury's in Lyons Farm, Worthing about 9am today.
Officers from Sussex Police have closed the dual carriageway westbound as far as Church Lane.
A diversion is in operation.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police confirmed a male pedestrian had been taken to hospital with head injuries.
