Fire crews have spent all night tackling a bush fire.
Gorse bushes near Peacehaven Golf Course, in Brighton Road, Newhaven, caught light just after 6pm yesterday.
Firefighters are still at the scene damping down four acres of smouldering bushes.
A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 6.17pm to reports gorse bushes near Peacehaven Golf Course were well alight.
“Crews are still there now damping down the bushes.”
