Heather Mills wants to go for gold as a downhill skier at the Winter Olympics.

The ex-model, who runs VBites café in Hove, says she is training for the 2014 Games and hope to represent Britain at the age of 46.

She said: “Having loved sport my whole life, competing in a Paralympics would be a dream come true.”

Mills, the ex-wife of Paul McCartney said: “I’ve been skiing for many years and I’m much better at that than ice skating, so I’m training hard to try to get on the British Paralympic downhill team.

“You know when you set in your head things that you want to do and achieve? Well, I’ve ticked about 90 per cent of all the boxes and this is one of the major ones remaining for me.”

Mills, who lost her left legafter being knocked down by apolice motorcycle in 1993, said she has also tried cycling.

She said: “Originally I was asked to try out for the British Paralympic cycling team. My times were good but I got very bored being on my bike every morning. “
