Hundreds of mental health jobs will be axed over the next three years as part of plans to save millions of pounds.
Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust intends to cut its 4,500-strong workforce by 11% by 2013.
The trust provides mental health, learning disability and substance misuse services at various locations across the county including in hospitals in Hove, Worthing and Eastbourne as well as in the community.
Details of which jobs will be affected by the cuts have not been finalised but are expected to cover all areas of the trust, including administration and nursing.
The plan is to reduce the number of full time posts at the trust by 96 by the end of next March.
A further 380 will go over the following two years.
