A mother of one was killed in a car accident after taking drugs on a night out.
Sales executive Kerry Montague, 30, was on her way home when she smashed her Saab convertible into a Vauxhall Astra before plummeting down an embankment.
An inquest was told other drivers had seen Miss Montague speeding down the A27 near Arundel moments before the crash on December 6, 2009.
Toxicology results showed she had traces of amphetamines and ketamine in her blood.
Miss Montague, a high-flyer at Shoreham-based sales firm Trustco plc, lived with her partner James Pearson and their young daughter Heidi in Upper High Street, Worthing.
Mr Pearson said his partner had been out with friends in Bournemouth the night before the accident.
Miss Montague was cut from her car and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton but died from injuries she sustained to her neck.
Sergeant Colin O’Neill from Sussex Police’s Forensic Crash investigation Unit said the drugs in Miss Montague’s system would have had an adverse affect on her driving.
Sergeant O’Neill said: “The post-mortem has indicated the presence of drugs, even more small amounts of drugs has a detrimental affect on driving ability.”
Penelope Schofield, coroner for West Sussex, recorded a verdict of accidental death.
