Businesses are gearing up for this year’s Pride with rainbow flags appearing across Brighton and Hove.

Pubs, restaurants, cafes and hotels in Kemp Town have lined the streets with the brightly coloured flags ahead of Saturday’s celebrations.

The rainbow flag is also being flown by public services as the first tents and structures appear in Preston Park ahead of the festivities.

East Sussex County Council, Sussex Police and the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are showing their support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community by raising the flag above County Hall in Lewes. All three services will be part of the Pride celebration on Saturday.

Many venues in the city have also organised pre or post parties to ensure the fun continues all weekend.
