A raunchy restaurant chain famous for its scantily-clad waitresses could be coming to Brighton.
An application to open a Hooters at Brighton Marina will go before Brighton and Hove City Council's licensing committee next week.
The American firm claims it is founded on the three principles of “beer, wings and beautiful women”, and primarily employs attractive, well-endowed waitresses.
The company already has its critics, with Welsh feminists planning a protest outside a proposed Hooters in Cardiff, and there are fears it would bring raucous behaviour to the marina.
It has been submitted by Bubo Limited, which has an agreement with Hooters to operate its franchise. It is seeking permission to serve alcohol between 11am and midnight every day.
