  • "At last more than just one voice in favour of "Smash EDO", and later comments made in support of their case have almost made sense.
One thing though if they can make the distinction between multi-purpose paint and components that only have one purpose how about not punishing the majority of Brighton and Hove population that have nothing to do with EDO, nor USA, nor Israel.
If you want to protest against EDO protest against EDO, don't block the city streets and even streets miles from the factory (terriosing truely undisputable INNOCENT children). There's plenty of room at Wild park to assemble, without requiring you to march from the centre of town casuing greater disruption because you refuse to allow the police to help you!
You have such a high profile now the Argus are bound to give you publicity even if you march/assemble/prote
    st at the Chattri.
Have a stall in town to bring your case to the public if you want (it will quite likely win more support than you'll lose by again causing wide spread disruption to everyone except anyone involved with EDO such as your previous marches have)."

Anti-arms protesters plan "final push" on Brighton factory

Anti-arms protesters are planning a “final push” to close down a controversial factory.

Smash EDO is holding a mass demonstration against the EDO plant in Moulsecoomb, Brighton, in October.

After a high-profile court victory last month, the group says it is aiming to close it down for the day and eventually drive it out of the city for good.

Police have warned the acquittal of eight people who vandalised the factory last year should not send a message that the site is fair game for attacks.

The event raises the prospect of violent clashes like those seen at previous demonstrations, where protesters have tried to force their way into the grounds of the site in Home Farm Road, Brighton.
