Hairdressing has reached new heights – quite literally.
Jedward may be the ones renowned for their sky-high quiffs, but Sussex scissor-smith Daren Terry has certainly trumped their efforts.
Forty-two-year-old Daren became the first hairdresser to cut and style locks in a hot air balloon.
Braving heights of 1,800ft, the h-airbourne stylist successfully sculpted a new do for client Danielle Jones.
He said: “It was a bit of a challenge but you could say we kept our heads and in the end Danielle was extremely pleased with her style.
“It took a lot of concentration because the views were awesome and I had to keep focused on the styling, while trying to take a sneak peek at the sunset and the beautiful countryside below.
“We researched as much as we can and we believe that this is a first for hairdressing.”

"scissor-smith" - Are you serious ?! Talk about calling a spade a multi-format earth moving device. He is a hairdresser for goodness sake !

Other examples of smith are blacksmith, goldsmith, gunsmith, swordsmith, tinsmith, whitesmith!
Smith being a "craftsperson who works metal into desired forms using a hammer and other tools, sometimes heating the metal to make it more workable".
I think The Argus however, have got their definition completely wrong! DOLTS!
They get an F- and also get to wear the Dunce's cap.
