Woman, 92, hit by reversing BMW

A 92-year-old woman was today rushed to hospital after a car reversed into her in Saltdean.

The woman had to be freed by a fire crew from Roedean following the incident in Longridge Avenue at 11.30am. A Roedean firefighter said the lady was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital after she was released from the reversing car.

A Sussex Police spokesman said nobody had been arrested. He added the woman had suffered minor injuries after being involved in a collision with a silver BMW.

Eh? This story makes no sense. She was hit by a reversing car, but then she had to be freed from said reversing car.

How did she end up in the car?

And from the comments on here, it has been assumed the driver was a black or asian man. Character assassination or what...?

"Only a lot of Asian - and black - people drive German cars. Not sure why" One of the most bizzare things I have ever read.

The driver was not black or aisian..he was white...the car was reversing and she was trapped underneath..the paramedics couldnt get her out from under the car therefore the car had to be lifted up to get her out.
