A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a black Ford Focus he was driving smashed into a lamppost, a telegraph pole and a garden wall.
The incident happened shortly before midnight last night in Wilson Avenue.
Police and firefighters were called to the scene and the man was arrested before being taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton suffering from minor injuries.
He has not yet been charged with any offence.
No one else was hurt in the incident.
