A motorcylcist is making a miracle recovery after breaking almost every major bone in his body.
Tony Charles was hurled from his bike into a wall after colliding with the crash barrier on the A27, near the Holmbush centre in Shoreham on Saturday afternoon.
His girlfriend Kim Day and two friends watched in horror from the car behind him as the front wheel of his Suzuki CSX 750 bike wobbled and he was thrown into the wall.
Plumber Mr Charles, 30, of Meadow Close, Southwick, has now miraculously regained consciousness, despite suffering a catalogue of injuries including a smashed elbow, two compound fractures, six broken ribs, a punctured lung, seven fractured vertebrae, a broken leg, a collapsed lung and a damaged liver.
