Parents are fighting back over plans to close a nursery.
Brighton and Hove City Council bosses will today decide whether to begin a consultation to close the Bright Start nursery in North Road in April.
The council subsidy for the nursery in 2010/11 is £87,000 and officers say the move will save money in the long run, as the building is in need of repair and is not used by many of its workers.
However angry parents have begun a campaign to save the nursery, which cares for 73 children, with the slogan “What about the Little Society?”
