A dementia sufferer who went missing during a shopping trip has been found.
78-year-old Gordon Clark from Iden Street, Hampden Park, Eastbourne, went missing yesterday afternoon while shopping with his wife in Brighton.
The couple had travelled from Eastbourne to the city and Mr Clark was last seen in Churchill Square Shopping Centre at 4.20pm.
Sussex Police carried out an extensive search of the area and the seafront from Black Rock to Hove, before widening their hunt to include Mr Clark’s route home.
The pensioner was spotted walking in London Road, Brighton, by a taxi driver at 4am this morning.
He was picked up by police officers and reunited with his family at John Street police station shortly afterwards.
