Sussex charity closes suddenly

A charity that helped young people who are not in education or employment has folded.

Creating Futures, which described itself as “one of the largest charity organisations in Sussex with over 120 staff”, announced its sudden closure on Friday.

Shocked staff were told in an email from chief executive Graham Gordon “very sadly, you are redundant from today and are required to clear your desks”.

The news also came out of the blue for schools and colleges which used the organisation to provide schemes for 16 to 24-year-old NEETs (not in training, education or employment).

If that is a direct quote from Graham Gordon's email, then Gordon is a moron and should never be employed himself.
Cold, heartless, rude and exhibiting extremely poor judgement.
Another 120 people/families without an income.

Pity the previous organisation didn't teach sand man basic english or is he writing tongue in cheek? Before anyone jumps, I know I put one M too many in my previous comment on the protesters.

Quite apart from losing ones job, the manner by which it was done was out of the textbook of "heartless businessman" ie by email, which not everyone got, in the middle of the day, when we were all at work.

Organisations go bust, it happens, but the process was very disappointing (and shocking) from an organisation that prided itself on supporting and helping those who are themselves in a very depressing and difficult part of their lives.

A charity who doesn't pay their employees tax and NI would explain how Uncle GG had survived longer than we all expected. Surely this COCKroach will not set up business as Advance Training or Training and Advice. Commiserations to all the worthy staff and all the very best in finding new employment. Shame on you 'SMT'.
