To most people being issued with a parking fine is an annoyance they would rather not dwell on.
The photographs which accompanied the penalty charge notice are quickly forgotten after the fine is paid.
But artist Mocksim has taken a closer interest in the pictures taken by traffic wardens, collecting hundreds of them.
The photos he has collected include incidences of traffic wardens caught in the reflection of a car's windscreen, four instances of the artist himself being captured in their photographs, aesthetically pleasing night shots and detailed data about every picture, including information about shutter speed.
Mocksim has produced an exhibition called Contra-invention at the Friese-Greene Gallery, downstairs at Brighton Media Centre in Middle Street, Brighton.
The exhibition will run until November 14, with an artist's talk on November 12.
