The owners of one of Brighton’s most loved music venues have said farewell after a row over noise.

Brighton and Hove City Council introduced tougher sound restrictions on the Freebutt in Phoenix Place, Brighton, after complaints about the volume of gigs.

The venue, known for promoting up-and-coming bands, and the Penthouse bar have been closed since September.

But control of the building has now been transferred to the original lease-holder and the four former co-owners are putting on two final concerts to mark the end of their involvement with the venue.
