One of the most well-known faces among theatre groups in Worthing has died.
Patricia Eugene, 72, died in Worthing Hospital following a short illness Mrs Eugene moved to Worthing in the 1970s and started working at the Connaught Theatre in Union Place, eventually becoming its house manager.
She also worked at the Pavilion Theatre on the seafront and the Assembly Hall in Stoke Abbott Road before retiring in the mid 2000s.
She was affectionately known as Mrs P and was well-loved among performers, groups and theatre-goers alike.
Mrs Eugene, whose other daughter Gilly, died in 1986, also leaves a husband, Andre and four grandchildren after her death on January 25.
Her funeral is at Worthing Crematorium on Friday at 1.40pm and Mrs Eugene-Kelly said all who knew her mother were welcome to attend.
Her family is asking for no flowers but people can make a donation to her mother's favourite charity, the Born Free Foundation.
Alternatively they can make a donation towards the cost of a healing garden Mrs Eugene-Kelly is planning to set up in her mother's memory.
