A 17-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a man died will not be prosecuted.
The teenager was arrested following the death of Frank Rhoder who collapsed at his home in Valencia Road, Worthing.
Mr Rhoder, 49, died on December 29 and the teen was arrested at 2am on December 30.
A postmortem took place at Worthing Hospital on December 30, but detailed toxicology and other medical tests were then necessary and police sent a full report to the Crown Prosecution Service late last month.
It has now been confirmed that Mr Rhoder died of heart failure and there will be no inquest.
Detective Inspector Phil Mays of Sussex Police Major Crime Branch said: “This incident was confined to the address with a tragic outcome for all parties involved.”
