HEREFORD Ladies now head the North Division of the West Clubs’ Women's League by three points after pulling off a thrilling lastgasp 4-3 win at second-placed Devizes.
Emily Tompkins' goal in between two home strikes kept Hereford in the hunt at the interval.
Jules Messer equalised again only for Devizes, who were defending an unbeaten home record, to regain the lead once more.
Jess Lambert fired home a rebound to level and Jenny Miller picked an excellent time to score her first goal for the team to earn a very late win.
Leominster were held to a 2-2 draw at Wootton Bassett.
In Severn Division 1, Hereford 2nd secured a fine 3-1 win over Blockley.
Dwyn Jones put Hereford ahead after a well executed move with Lisa Ferneyhough who doubled the score.
Blockley pulled a goal back but Jones sealed the win after more good work by Ferneyhough.
Kington Ladies recorded a 2-0 win over Bridgend 2nd on the astro turf in Hereford.
Suzy Chance and Jenny Layton scored the goals.
Colin Amos scored five goals as Hereford consolidated their fourth-place in Premier Division 3 of the Davis Wood Hockey League by cruising to a 7-0 home win over lowly Ottery Crickets.
Amos started the rout by scoring the first two, and scored three more in the second half. Andy Rogers scored in the first half and Joe Thomas slid home the fourth within 30 seconds of the restart.
Leominster slipped two places to 10th in North Division 1 after going down 2-0 at Bridgend.
Lowly Ross-on-Wye achieved the result of the day in Severn Division when they knocked Cardiff and UWIC 2nd off top spot after they held them to a 0-0 draw.
Hereford 2nd moved three points clear at the top of Hereford & Gloucester Division 1 with a 5-2 win at Gloucester City 4th while the sides around them drew.
Leominster 2nd beat Sherborne 6-1 to stay clear of the bottom two.
Hereford completed six wins out of six for the weekend when the Mixed team pulled off a 6-4 win over Newent in the first round of the National Mixed Trophy.
Colin Amos (3), Jonny Morgan (2) and Andy Rogers scored to earn a home tie with Swanage and Wareham in Round Two.
