• Dorchester: Celebration and big screen for thousands of residents on Maumbury Rings.
• Weymouth: Seafront street party on the Esplanade organised by seafront bars and businesses.
A separate street party will take place on the harbourside where the royal wedding will be shown outside on a giant screen.
• Bere Regis: Celebration in the village sports club organised by the parish council, including a fancy dress parade, picnic, hog roast and live music
• Bridport: The Electric Palace will screen the wedding as well as hold an old fashioned street party.
• Osmington: Residents will celebrate with a party in the village hall and green, with children’s competitions, magicians and local artists.
• Crossways: Street Party from 3pm to 5pm in the main hall of Frome Valley First School.
Royal Wedding cake, themed wedding dress and children’s activities, including a royal collage corner. The event is open to anyone from Crossways, £2 for adults and children are free.
• Portland: The Little Ship will be putting on a free royal wedding reception garden party for children and adults, a barbecue, face painting, apples, bouncy castle and a gladiator joist. The reception will start at 12pm.
• Littlemoor: The New Inn pub is putting on a weekend reception for the royal celebration.
To start the weekend people are invited in to watch the wedding from 9am on the Friday, with the elderly being invited from local care homes.
On the Friday night there will be a wedding party, complete with cake and bubbly and live music.
On Saturday there will be a childrens’ garden party from 2pm with free food and squash, with entertainment, face painting and fancy dress.
In the evening there will be an 80s disco. On Sunday there will be a tabletop sale from midday with with the proceeds going to charity.
On Sunday there will be a quiz with a royal theme.
