Faith organisations, Sussex Police and other groups are being brought together to help reduce crime and disorder and improve community cohesion.
National Christian charity Redeeming Our Communities (ROC) started in 2004 and has helped set up partnerships across the UK with the aim of addressing social problems.
The goal of each project is different depending on the area but could be to reduce teenage pregnancy, drug-fuelled crime or to help the elderly if they are lonely.
The Arun ROC initiative will start at the Open Gate Church, in Victoria Drive, Bognor, on Thursday May 12, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. There will be a similar event in Littlehampton later on in the year.
