Batman swooped on Croydon on Friday and wrapped up a day of crime fighting with some pie and mash - but was it Hollywood star Christian Bale?
As filming on the latest Batman caper continued in the borough, witnesses said a man dressed as the caped crusader swooped in for lunch at Cockney's of Croydon.
Sporting his full crime-fighting uniform, many believed the man to be Christian Bale as he went into the shop and ordered mince pie and mash.
A Cockney's of Croydon insider said: “I thought to myself, 'why is he all dressed up as Batman'?”
