Worthing pupils given a chance to be film stars

Pupils swapped blackboards for clapperboards as they became a film crew for the day.

Children at Thomas A Becket Middle School in Worthing took part in the film challenge workshop.

The 20 youngsters were responsible for writing, filming and editing their film, as well as organising its premiere.

The exercise was funded by the Co-operative British Youth Film Academy.

Teacher, Kay Jones, said: “The workshop was certainly an experience our pupils won’t forget.

“Our school has lots of budding movie-makers, and it is right and proper they are supported and encouraged along the way to achieving their ambitions.”
