Asbo pensioner Edna Beck could be evicted from her home.

On Thursday The Argus revealed how Beck, who walks with a Zimmer frame, had been handed an interim Asbo by magistrates in Brighton.

For the past seven years the 80-year-old has tormented people living near her in Tisbury Road, Hove, by shouting and screaming.

Brighton Magistrates’ Court was told g rey-haired Beck screamed “Heil Hitler” and even goose-stepped in the style of the Nazis.

Yesterday one of her victims, who asked to remain anonymous, spoke of her joy that Beck could be told to move out after a county court eviction hearing next month.

The woman, who said she was left suicidal by the years of abuse, opened her heart to The Argus and said she would have moved if she could have afforded to.

She was the driving force behind Beck receiving the Asbo banning her from shouting, screaming, being drunk and disorderly and inciting hatred.

The woman said she first met Beck in 2007 when she moved near her.

She said: “She still claims she has not done anything wrong.

“She loves upsetting people.

People have moved out because of her actions. There was a Polish couple but she was always shouting out insults about them so they moved.”

She recalled the first time she moved in.

Beck, she explained, was lying on the floor, which she said she thought was odd.

Later that night the screaming started – and four years later it is still going on.

She also said Beck would stand in the hallway screaming.

During the court hearing the woman, who has become depressed since living near Beck, ran out crying.

She will join other neighbours and give further evidence during a court hearing for an application for a full Asbo for Beck later this year.
