Brighton man charged with robbing Worthing jewellers

A 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted robbery at a jewellers in Worthing on Saturday.
Simon Stanton of Albourne Close, Brighton, has been charged with the attempted robbery at Wheelers Clockmakers and Jewellers.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning.
Police were called to the store on Saturday morning after a man had entered the jewellers and threatened staff with a suspected firearm.
A man had been detained by staff at the store and no-one was injured during the incident.
