Mini heatwave to hit Sussex

A mini heatwave is on the way with temperatures set to soar over the next four days.

Traders are gearing up for a bumper weekend and expect shopping centres to be heaving.

Health bosses are preparing to put their heatwave plan into action as temperatures of up to 25C are predicted.

Thousands of visitors are expected to head for Sussex's beaches as many people prefer to holiday at home rather than abroad this year.

Unbroken sunshine is expected for most of today with the county basking in the hottest weather for a month.

Temperatures are expected to be up to 30C inland and 25C on the coast.

Met Office forecaster Helen Chivers said: “It looks like Saturday and Sunday will be the sunniest days in Brighton and Hove.

“There will be a mixture of sunny spells and cloud and it will be quite warm and humid in the early part of next week.”

She added that families should make the most of the next few days as rain is expected to spread in from the west from Wednesday onwards.

11.05 Sunday... No heatwave in Hove... No Big Cats or pedo mini black men/car drivers sighted... Hope all the Argus team had a blast at the game yesterday as the output was dire... Including Naylors lacklustre bland old reworking of Brian's piece.. still nothing from ruthie.. Or shivawn the health reporter... Photos were a hoot though... Very clever how they were made to look like an amateur took them on a mobile without a zoom function

Personally .. I only ever believe the Sussex Police weather reports... And conversely.. Nothing else they say.

Still cloudy and cool... No sign of the Black guy in the mini... the Big Cats or the heatwave. where is Anna Roberts and Ruth? There has been a distinct lack of RNLI and Fire Brigade Twitter News on here.... Naomi with her obtuse reporting style and alternative spelling and prose...

Turned out nice... but not a heatwave, so another false alarm.... involving a mini.
