A mini heatwave is on the way with temperatures set to soar over the next four days.
Traders are gearing up for a bumper weekend and expect shopping centres to be heaving.
Health bosses are preparing to put their heatwave plan into action as temperatures of up to 25C are predicted.
Thousands of visitors are expected to head for Sussex's beaches as many people prefer to holiday at home rather than abroad this year.
Unbroken sunshine is expected for most of today with the county basking in the hottest weather for a month.
Temperatures are expected to be up to 30C inland and 25C on the coast.
Met Office forecaster Helen Chivers said: “It looks like Saturday and Sunday will be the sunniest days in Brighton and Hove.
“There will be a mixture of sunny spells and cloud and it will be quite warm and humid in the early part of next week.”
She added that families should make the most of the next few days as rain is expected to spread in from the west from Wednesday onwards.
