Three resorts in Sussex are among the fastest growing tourist destinations in Britain, according to a new study.
Brighton and Hove, Worthing and Eastbourne are booming.
The study takes into account tourism-related businesses, the number of employees and growth in visitor numbers to attractions.
Eastbourne’s revenue increased by 11% compared to last year and it was named the second fastest growing seaside resort behind Whitstable in Kent, while Brighton and Hove was named the most popular seaside resort overall.
Brighton and Hove and Worthing are also on the list for the fastest growing seaside resorts, according to the figures released by motoring and leisure association CSMA Club.
Councillor Geoffrey Bowden, cabinet member for culture, recreation and tourism at Brighton and Hove City Council, said: “This is great news. It is a vote of confidence in the city and the region.”
