A man killed his wife in a frenzied knife attack because he thought she had been possessed by the devil.
Kashif Baig claimed he saw beams of light coming from her eyes and thought he would die if they touched him.
Baig struck as the couple were being driven on the M25 by his father last November.
Mumtaz Baig tried to intervene but was threatened with the knife and ordered to keep driving, a court heard.
The father fled the car and raised the alarm after arriving back at the family home in Northgate, Crawley.
Shehla Baig, 27, died of massive blood loss.
Paramedics found her body slumped in the family's VW car parked on the drive in Woodfield Road.
Baig admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility at an earlier hearing.
A court heard that he will be held indefinitely.
