Landmarks are throwing open their doors to the public this weekend.
Dozens of homes, churches and institutions are opening up for the Heritage Open Days events across Sussex.
The event celebrates architecture and culture across Sussex by allowing visitors free access to interesting sites which normally charge an entrance fee. Some must be pre-booked, others are simply open.
In Brighton a chip shop, cinema, sewers and the former police station are among the attractions.
In East Sussex people can visit the stables of a Grand National winner, learn sea shanties or watch furniture being restored.
In West Sussex two funeral directors' and the pubs of the past and present are among the quirky destinations on offer.
Several churches are among the attractions.
