Worthing Pothole filler is found

A mystery pothole filler who mended a large hole in the road has revealed himself.

Builder and plasterer Barrie Pacy took matters into his own hands after becoming worried for the safety of residents in Sheridan Road, Broadwater, Worthing.

He said his wife had complained to West Sussex County Council about the pothole but nothing had been done.

Mr Pacy used a whole barrel of concrete to fill the hole much to the delight of other residents.

The council said permanent repairs to Sheridan Road would be scheduled for November.
