A 39-year-old man has suffered a serious back injury following a road accident.
The man, from Tunbridge Wells, was driving a silver Audi TT when it collided with a red Peugeot 206 at around 4.10pm yesterday.
The man was airlifted to Kings College Hospital in South London while the 22-year-old woman from Wadhurst driving the Peugeot was treated for minor injuries at the Kent & Sussex Hospital in Tunbridge Wells.
The accident happened on the B2169 Bayham Road at Bells Yew Green, East Sussex close to the Kent border and the road was closed for more than four hours following the crash.
Emergency services were called between Tunbridge Wells and Lamberhurst, at 4.10pm on Monday 19 September, after two cars, a red Peugeot 206 and a silver Audi TT, had collided at the junction with Bartley Mill Road.
