It might seem like a long way from London to Brighton, but it was just a short space hop for these fundraisers.
Caroline Milligan and Rebecca Higley were among six Vodafone Group workers who took on a charity trek from the capital to the coast.
They set off at 4.45am in the morning, with Caroline on a space hopper and Rebecca on a scooter, arriving in Brighton at 2pm the next day.
Seven of their colleagues rode bikes and tandems. Rebecca said: “It was very painful, on the feet for me and Caroline and on the bums of the people on the bikes.
“But it was well worth it.”
They were taking part in the Moyo Vodafone Challenge, which aims to raise £7 million towards eradicating obstetric fistula in Tanzania, a complication after childbirth which affects 3,000 women in the country each year.
