Protesters are offering free tea and biscuits to anyone who visits their makeshift camp.
Members of the Occupy Brighton camp in Victoria Gardens have decided to regulate their protest by keeping a log book of the supplies at the encampment.
During a meeting at the camp, occupiers agreed that they should also arrange a rota system to manage security patrols around the site and that they should set up a book of short quotes so that members can “be clear about their message”.
The group is also planning to number the tents at the camp to keep track of exactly who is staying there.
Occupy Brighton has said members will stay in Victoria Gardens “indefinitely” and is demanding “a change to the current system” and that banks ask for “permission” before they put money at risk.
A Brighton and Hove City Council spokesman said: “We allow peaceful protest in Brighton and Hove and together with the police are talking to the protesters to ensure that the event is peaceful.
“But while we support their right to peaceful protest, the occupation of Victoria Gardens cannot go on indefinitely and we are working jointly with the police to negotiate with the protesters a date for vacating the site.”
