A homeless charity has been “overwhelmed” with support from the Worthing public.
Schools, churches and other groups have donated gifts, food, clothing and money to Worthing Churches Homeless Projects.
Children at Chatsmore Catholic High School made 100 mini Christmas puddings while Rustington Community Primary School children designed and filled Christmas bags for people sleeping rough.
Other schools collected gift items for the charity.
A group of young people from the Princes Trust raised funds through a street collection.
Louise Brooks from the Worthing Churches Homeless Projects said: “We are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown by the people of Worthing and surrounding areas.”

Most of then homeless have no connection to towns or cities in the south ! Thats a fact. How many move from Brighton and Hove to towns such as Middlesborough or Barnsley?
Answer Probably none
They come here for an easy time. Go back home I say or why dont you all put them up?

these people are not welcome they should be removed to where they come form (or dumped in France) we do not have enough jobs or houses for those born in this country so if they have attempted to live here by defrauading the rest of us theyt should be on the next flight home byeeeeeeeeeeeeee ps dont come back.

It is brilliant that the charity has received such generous support. If someone is in need, that is all that matters. I salute them and all who support them.
It does not matter where people "come from". In previous centuries, my family comes from America and France. If I become homeless, should I be sent 'home' to New England or Montpellier?

You will note, no S in Bladesboy Return(s).
Serving to wake me may prove to be a schoolboy (posh one) error on their part
To the music of Jingle Bells..............
Occupy, Occupy
Squatters nothing less
Oh how sad it is to see
The posh kids make a mess
....................
They pitch a make shift tent
And never pay the rent
Then claim they're our best friends
The lying never ends
..................
Occupy, Occupy
Squatters nothing less
Oh how sad it is to see
The posh kids make a mess
....................
They cant work out their goals
And their plans are full of holes
So these wasters smoke and drink
Oh how these unwashed stink
..................
Occupy, Occupy
Squatters nothing less
Oh how sad it is to see
The posh kids make a mess
....................
Much to our delight
They'll soon be off the site
As the Council clear the tents away
What a lovely sight
....................
Occupy, Occupy
Squatters nothing less
Oh how sad it is to see
The posh kids make a mess
Please feel free to add additional verses and i shall be launching a new competition shortly; please do join in.
It's going to be similar to Hangman, but called Hang-squatter instead.
Its played exactly like the other game but the purpose it to guess their objectives. And instead of building a gallows, we take away bits from a tent. Then finally we throw water, grass seed and manure to cleanse the site.
Look forward to sharing more with you on this, pretty much every time the waster uses Bladesboy Return to post.

CaliforniaGirl,
wrote the following comment, to which I wholeheartedly agree with.
It is good & refreshing to see that there are other people around who do care about those that are left out of society. Through whatever reason!
As you have admitted you are not a Christian, neither am I my Faith being Buddhist. I agree though with your sentiment "There but for the grace of God go I".
I wish you & all other tolerant posters on here a rest Happy Christmas.
Your ignorance knows no bounds. If you actually took the time to understand what Occupy is all about, you would discover that you have failed to really understand what the movement is trying to achieve.
And with regard to the amazingly hostile comments about the homeless people, from other readers here, I know I should not be so shocked by such shameless and unkind drivel, yet i do still find it amazing that people can be so horrible to others. Although I am not a Christian, there is a saying I never let myself forget: "There but for the grace of God go I".
People who scoff and accuse homeless people have no idea what their lives have entailed. Their self-rightousness is appalling.

There but for the grace of god go I. I just went to the garage in town to get some fuel on my motorbike. And outside the garage shop was a couple sitting there. They looked cold. They said they were homeless and could I spare a bit of change. I felt so sorry for them I gave them 2 quid. I said get something warm inside you, the look on there faces was a massive thanks. There are so many people out there in a situation like that through no making of there own. Life can throw up some really nasty situations for us and none of us are immune. I could have walked away but I didn't .

Good on the kids and the charity that have really made a difference to the lives of the homeless in Worthing.
Looks like the government is going to extend the NSNO scheme outside of London. I think this is a good move to get people off the streets and back into community life.
