Frankie Cocozza has lost out to Loose Women star Denise Welch for the Celebrity Big Brother crown.
Favorite Frankie, of Bexhill Road, Woodingdean, came second in the competition.
The 19-year-old former Longhill High School pupil had the support of Take That singer Gary Barlow, who said he was rooting for him on Twitter.
On Friday night Frankie said he had expected to go in and "leave after four days", adding "it went better than I thought."
The wannabe singer was kicked off the last series of The X Factor for rule breaking but proved to be a popular housemate. "I was the man of the house," he said.
