A music enthusiast has hailed Brighton's independent record stores.
Graham Jones is the author of Last Shop Standing, a history of quirky and alternative music shops.
He said that Brighton is one of the best places in the country for record enthusiasts to shop.
He said: “I think the tourism department in Brighton is missing a trick. It’s the best kept secret in the city.
“Music lovers in Brighton are really spoiled.”
Now Mr Jones’s book is being made into a documentary, featuring Brighton record shops – and the famous faces who once worked in them.
Mr Jones said: “The film features appearances by musicians and industry insiders including Norman Cook, AKA Fatboy Slim, but the real stars are the record shop owners, with hysterical anecdotes about their customers, both the weird and the wonderful.
"Their stories are the stuff of folklore - customers with strange requests, global superstars given their first break by a shop and even the bizarre behaviour of sales reps desperate to get their records into the chart."
