A former Royal Marine is hoping to use the power of rock music to help ex-servicemen cope with emotional trauma.

Brighton band Johnny Wore Black will be raising money for forces charities Help for Heroes, Combat Stress and Dare to Live with their new single released this week.

Lead singer and ex-Marine Jay Coen said: “The biggest problem for servicemen and women leaving the forces is isolation.

"For many ex-forces after years of soldiering, which are often physically and psychologically traumatic times, it can be difficult to adapt back to civilian life.

“With the sales of our single we want to promote these military charities and programmes, which support veterans to value their skills, their sense of self-worth and to focus on their true potential for the future.”

The band filmed the video for their single All The Rage on Worthing Pier.

The single can be downloaded from iTunes.
