A fashion show has been featuring unwanted clothes donated to charity shops.
Art and design students from City College Brighton and Hove pulled the clothes apart and transformed them into stunning fashionwear.
They then held a Rags to Riches show at the college's main hall in Pelham Street, Brighton.
Students modelled their own designs, choreographed the show and did their own make-up.
They were given just eight days for the whole project and came up with collections called The Gathering, Indigo, Bohemian Dream, Sportfast, Misfit and Urban Warriors.
Those taking part were studying foundation and extended diploma courses.
Brighton and Hove mayor Anne Meadows was guest of honour.
She said: “It's always a treat to come to City College because every visit provides a fascinating experience for me.”
All money raised from the event will go to the Martlets Hospice in Hove.
Martlets fundraiser Clem Hunnisett said: “I'm always amazed at the creations the students come up with in such a short amount of time.
“It was an incredible show.”
