A resident was woken in the night by two armed and masked men.
The nineteen-year-old man was woken at around 2am on Wednesday in his home in Church Street, Brighton by two men with covered their faces with hoods.
One of the men pointed a knife at the resident, who shares a home with three others but who was home alone at the time, before the two men stole a number of household items.
The two men then ran from the property in the direction of Queens Road.
A 17-year-old man from Brighton has been charged with aggravated burglary and he appeared before Brighton Magistrates' Court yesterday morning.
Officers are still trying to trace a second suspect described as being of muscular build and around 6 ft tall.
