The kick-off time for a charity football match held to raise money for a soldier injured in Afghanistan has changed.
The game in support of Corporal Ben Stoten at Newhaven FC’s ground in Fort Road was originally scheduled for 10.30am on Sunday but has now been re-arranged for 1.30pm.
The game will raise money to help with medical expenses for the 27-year-old.
Corporal Stoten from Newhaven was seriously injured in an explosion in Afghanistan.
Corporal Jay Baldwin from Crawley is also seriously ill in hospital after being injured in a separate incident.
Yesterday, on our front page, we wrongly labelled a picture of Corporal Ben Stoten as being Corporal Jay Baldwin.
We would like to sincerely apologise to the families and friends of both soldiers for any offence or distress this may have caused.
