Car crashes in Burgess Hill and Chichester overnight

A woman was trapped in a car after a crash in Burgess Hill.

Two cars collided in Junction Road at about 6.45pm on Saturday.

Firefighters released the woman from one car and she was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious injuries.

This morning, firefighters were called a crash in Stane Street, Halnaker, near Chichester.

A man was removed from a car at about 3.45am.

He was treated by paramedics.

Anyone who saw either crash is asked to call Sussex Police on 101.
